If you want to have a barrel of fun skiing in West Virginia, then travel to West Virginia to WinterPlace Ski Resort. Located near our city, you can find this absolutely wonderful ski resort where you can ski, snowboard, and snow tube. Skiing is available 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

When you ride the ski lift, you can look at the beautiful snow scenery all around for a long distance. WinterPlace is one of a very few ski resorts that offers night skiing. Skiing in the evenings can be downright freezing because you're at the top of mountains. At night, you can sometimes look at the star constellations in the sky as you're riding the lift up the mountain. There is a different area for snow tubing so the tubers don't interfere with skiers.

There are places to rent skis and anything else you need to equip yourself properly for skiing. There are two restaurants in the lodge, a ski shop where you can buy a lot souvenirs and a lot of other cool winter things. There are condos for rent on the side of the beginner slope and at the top of the beginner ski lift. You can walk out the door of your condo to the slopes for skiing.

The slopes at WinterPlace are graded in three different categories: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. They are also rated  in colors and shapes: green circles for beginners, blue squares for intermediates, and black diamonds for the advanced or expert skier. You'd better be sure you choose the right slope for your level and for your own safety. It can be very dangerous if you are not an expert skier to try the advanced slopes. Make sure you pay attention to the signs!

WinterPlace offers classes for beginner,   intermediate, and advanced levels.  If you don't know how to ski, take advantage of the lessons offered at the resort. You'll be glad you did and you'll have a wonderful time learning how to ski. Once you know how to ski, you'll be schussing down the slopes every chance you get.
