Q. How can we help people realize that littering our environment is ruining our ecosystems?

A. We can make people aware that they need to put their garbage in waste baskets or trash bins. We can encourage people to stop throwing items out the car window by putting up posters and recording public service announcements on our local radio stations. We can inform the public that they need to cut the rings on the 6 pack that pop comes in because animals with small necks get tangled in them every year. We can make sure that people know about the litter cameras that take their photos when they dump their trash on the sides of the roads. If their photo is taken, they will be fined up to $25,000!

Q. Why should people conserve water?

A. People should conserve water because water is precious. If we waste it, someday we might not have any left! When we leave our water taps on for a long time, then we're not only wasting water, but we're wasting money and electricity also.

Q. How can we tell other people how to recycle?

A. We can make posters that encourage cleaning up our environment and we can give community speeches throughout our neighborhood. We can also write up some ways of how to clean our community in the local newspaper or school newsletter.
