Understanding our history helps us to plan better for our future.
We have learned from past experience that we cannot treat our natural resources with indifference.
We have also discovered that there is a lot still to be learned about the ecology of caves, lakes and mountains.
Museums are good for learning all about our past and how peoples lives were.
Museums help sustain us because museums attracts tourists.
If the museums don't get good funding, they wouldn't have all the nice artifacts and photographs. The curator is so important and does more than just run the museum. He goes out to the schools and does special presentations. He brings history to life and makes it more important and valuable to the kids.
If we didn't have museums the value of our past would decrease because nobody would be the keeper of information and all the artifacts would disappear or be hidden away.

Our museums contain artifacts and photographs that show us what things were like before a lot of intervention by people.
When we realize that much of the damage that has happened is because of carelessness and greed, we are challenged to have more respect for our environment's future.
